Mosin Shooters:
So I bought the kit from Sportsmen's Guide that includes a scope and rings and a "rail" adapter for the Mosin Nagant. No gunsmithing required is accurate. However, know that the card which comes in the plastic compartmentalized packing does have instructions in it, you just have to open the card. I didn't discover this until after I'd figured it all out on my own. Anyway the rail mount adapter is pretty clever and works well. You simply take the rear sight apart and it fits on the rear sight base that is already welded to the gun. The long eye relief scope looks relatively cheap, but I haven't shot it yet so . . . Bore sighting included having to adjust the scope mount adapter a bit. The kit include a sling and a recoil pad, which I didn't need. Anyway if you love shooting you Mosin and want a simple way to put a scope on it, this is one way to do it.
