Hey i was wondering if any of you know where i could get a UK 59 barrel for my mosin nagant!
I cant find them anywhere!
Thanks:D

you're probably not likely to, most people just go out and buy a new mosin nagant for the price of having a new one custom made.

The days of the cheap UK-59 barrels is long gone as they were sold out a few years ago. IIRC, TN Guns was the importer and had a large number of them cut and re-threaded to fit the MN action. Back then you could buy them for well under $100 each, with quantity discounts.

Sometimes one will turn up on GB, and usually sell for far more then they're worth.

While most of them have proven to be far more accurate than one would have expected from a MG barrel- they are a LOT of work to fit to the action.

The barrel has no shoulder- a collar needs to be machined separately and used to set the headspace. The chamber sometimes needs to be reamed with a carbide reamer, and the extractor groove cut once the barrel is correctly headspaced.

Anyway- IMO, if you're going to buy a barrel- get a match barrel in .308 instead of .311. Then you can reload with any of the multitude of .308 bullets instead of the few available in .311. Much less work involved, you just need a smith (or DIY if you have the ability) to thread and chamber the barrel.

McGowan, and Lothar-Walther do make new, commercial barrels in .311 though if you're so inclined.

Now, the peanut gallery can chime in and tell you it doesn't make financial "sense" to do this (and maybe it doesn't- but that's not the point...) :D

I bought 4 those machine gun bull barrels and 3 are still lying around.

I had 12 MN receivers and only one would clock with their consistent but wrong headed Mosin modification.

All those barrels got clocked the same, and it probably matches some master barrel somewhere in the hands of someone who thought that all MN receiver's clock the same like Rem700s. They don't. They are all random.

If a guy had a carbide 7.62x54R reamer that could set the barrel back until their clocking matches your clocking.

I could write on and on and post pictures, and someone would still want those barrels from me. Some guy with no carbide reamer and one receiver.

Here is how you get a new MN barrel.
Get a quality American made barrel blank. Cut the threads, cut the shoulder, cut the bevel, cut the chamber, headspace without an extractor.

Lastly, cut the extractor relief cut.
If you screw up and cut the extractor relief cut first like Tennessee Guns, no worry, set the barrel back and start over. You don't have a UK-59 hardened chamber.
