Mosin Nagant synthetic stock

The title pretty well sums it up really. At a gun show today I picked up a hex receiver 91/30 for $60. Part of the reason I got it so cheap was the wood stock looks like it got put through a wood chipper. Anyone have any experiance with replacement stocks? I was thinking synthetic cause I'm 6'5 and the wooden one just doesn't seem to fit my shoulder right.

there's a number of offerings from militarily correct to thumbhole sporter. american tactical imports makes a number of add ons to turn a mosin nagent into a modern hunting rifle, sight bases, bent bolt knobs and this

congrats on your mosin, best of luck

Suggest you stay away from the ATI synthetic as I've read a lot of horror stories about poor fit and inletting, do some research.

Either find a "factory stock", or go with a Boyd's. If you want to maximize it's accuracy, do a bedding job and install pillars like you would with any other bolt gun.
