Just finished my interpretation of a Mosin Scout. The muzzle brake is awesome.

^ Less recoil, I think its a cool gun

I would never own one because there are a LOT of other things I would rather have but im sure it would be fun for plinking off medium sized targets :D

Now you did it ! Got me thinking about that block of aluminum in the shop that looks like a muzzle break with a little extra metal. Hope mine turns out as nice as yours.

Thats a neat Scout setup, but I am a little concerned about making the Chamber thinner, then drilling there and tapping there.
Anyway, very nice work.

I've not really expressed an opinion on these Mosin Nagant rifles, so let me start by saying, DUDE your totaly into it all the way!! Nice project ,nice rifle, killer results! +1 rides426, +1;)

I think its cool. You'll have to give us a range report. I like the 7.62x54 cartridge. I was pleased with the accuracy of the $99 M44 out of the box. I think that the cartridge has a great bit of potential. Good luck with the rest of your tinkering.
