more visible front sight

I have an old cz27 .32 auto (fnh pistole model 27 7.65 cal.) from WWII. The front sight is in good condition but I'd like to coat it with something to make it more visible. The rear sight is a V dovetail. I suppose I could have the front sight filed down and replaced and also replace the rear sight with something better but the gun is original with waffen emblems and I don't want to modify it. Is there some type of paint or other coating that is made for highlighting sights?

I went to hobby shop or wal-mart buy pen type
marker, I use white but they have others,if
your careful you can put a dot on front site
that looks pretty good. Works for me.

Model shops also carry Testor's
brand model paint in any color
you can imagine including
flourescent. Degrease the sight
apply a white base coat, let dry 24
hours,apply the color coat. Amazingly
durable. Amazingly inexpensive.
Bullet44 is correct about the dot.
Use a toothpick. Dab a "glob" of paint
on the sight. It will form a dot.

You can buy a paint called Bright Sights
at some gun stores. It works well too.

Not everybody's eyes see the colors the same.
Find out what color will bring the front sight into the best view. Go to the drugstore or and buy that color FINGERNAIL POLISH.

The name escapes me right now, but I recently bought this luminous/fluroscent sight paint for my Keltec P32. There were an assortment of colors. It was around $5.00 for a small bottle and bottle of degreaser. You might also try Brownell's-in their catalog there is a HIVIZ kit which allows you to glue on these refractile rods after you have sized them to a usable dimension. Best of luck, Dave.

I put a dab of bright yellow nail polish on mine. The bottle cost $0.99 and will last me about 150 years as long as it doesn't dry up.

I absolutely would not replace the sites on a collector pistol like that.
