More Vepr questions

Hi everyone thanks for the replies on the previous post. I have some more questions about my rifle. I bought 2 30 round magazines with this rifle... the dealer said the magazines would fit the SAR rifle and the vepr. When I got home, I cleaned the rifle and, in my garage, function tested the magazines. The two ten rounders that are original equipment for the rifle, snapped into place perfectly and fed the .223 cartridges flawlessly. My problems arose with the two hi-caps. They wouldn't even snap into the magazine well. I examined the tongues that engage the magazine catch and realized that the 30 rounders were much thicker in that area than the 10 rounders that come with the gun. I experimented with one... ground down the tongue with my dremel tool and got it to snap in perfectly... this is where problem 2 arose. Now that the magazine would fully seat, it wouldn't feed 100%. It would usually hang up on the last round of the magazine.I removed the magazine and then noticed the follower on the 10 rounders was shaped slightly different than the 30 rounders. AAGH! Tomorrow ,I'm taking the unmodified Mag back for an exchange on ammo, or refund. I'm wondering, was this rifle ever intended to take high capacity magazines? I've heard if I order from Robinson Armament they can provide me with some modified like new magazines. Just exactly what do they do? The same I did , but replace the follower also? Are the SAR mags really interchangeable, or are they what Robinson uses for modification. I'm really thinking of just ordering 2 more ten rounders, but I really wanted some dependable hi-caps for this rifle. Thanks for the help everyone!

The high cap mags that RobArms supplies are AK-74 bakelite mags that have been painted and fitted with a new follower of RobArm make. I can use unmodified 74 mags in my VEPR II as long as I only load 20 rounds in them.
