More scandal news

Notice how when its a republican especially a "gwb regardless radical" republican, its the business of a single misquided person but when its a democrate its the business of the entire party:eek: :barf:

Maybe I was vague, but my point was that it seems as the Republican party apparently thinks the rules don't apply to them. Delay, Cheney, GWB, Libby, Cunningham, etc, etc, etc.

And an admission of guilt is a long cry from mere party bashing so don't go there.

Besides, I'm a Republican anyway so why would I bash my own party?

BigJack - get real. Explain to me how this is the Republican Party's fault, and not the fault of one greedy moron. ;)

Doesn't that describe every politician? This crap is on both sides of the isle.

but the clock is ticking.
Delay - rediculous trumped up charges that'll never stick
Libby - for all intents cleared by Woodward's testimony
Cheney - not indicted
GWB - not indicted

The liberal/left has a long history of making disagreement with their policies a crime.

They don't like guns, thus anti-2nd amendment legislation. They don't like what some people say, thus anti-1st amendment "hate-speech" legislation. They don't like religion, thus their continuous assault on Western values. They don't like white males, thus their anti-equal under the law "affirmative action" legislation. They don't like the boy scouts, thus the ACLU's war on them.

And of course indicting conservatives on the flimsiest evidence, or no evidence whatsoever. Cheney and Bush, what's their crime, why is the clock "ticking" on them? Doesn't matter, they are evil men and deserve to be punished, evidence or charges be damned, right?

"Besides, I'm a Republican anyway so why would I bash my own party?"

I guess that would be something like John ("Hey, I'm a hunter") Kerry.

"but the clock is ticking."

Another clock watcher. :)

They're politicians for goodness sake. What do you expect. Power corrupts.

Delay was grand jury shopped by Ronnie Earle, until an indictment was finally issued, for breaking a law that DID NOT EXIST at the time of the alleged incident. Cheney, to my knowledge, has had no allegation (other than that of the media) brought whatsoever, for anything. And you can't indict someone for having a policy difference, so the reference to Cheney is confusing.

On the other hand, the Democrat party has given us the following:

James Traficant (incarcerated)

Webb Hubbell (released yet? I am not sure.)

Robert Toreccelli (incarcerated)

Mark Rich (out of the country, since the pardon Bill Clinton gave him on his last day as President did not include the Oil for Food deal)

Dan Rosetnkowski, et al, (House Post office scandal )

Sandy Berger ($ 50,000.00 fine for stealing top secret documents from the National Archives)

Dan Rather, (fundraising organizer for the DNC in Austin, Texas, no longer the Anchor for CBS News because of his forged document/fake news reporting scandal)

(The difference is, being actually guilty of the charges made)

Oh, I forgot about the following:

The Democrats also brought us:

The Keating Five scandal

Bert Lance, (resigned from Carter adminsitration for misuse of funds)

Senator Talmadge (cash gifts in 1979)

Walter Tucker (for bribery conviction in 199)

Henry Cisneros (Clinton HUD secretary who resigned after pleading guilty to lying to the FBI about payments to his mistress)

Bruce Babbit/Indian gaming license scandal

Jim Wright, (resigned as Speaker of the House over receipt of improper gifts)

Abscam, in 1980

William Casey,Kimba Woods, Mike Espy resignation....whew.

And, lest we forget, that good old House Banking Scandal of 1992.

I think he's just pointing out the difference in convicted & incarcerated and merely being unclean & sullied by gossip.

jefnvk,
+1.
I think the point here that everyone refuses to discuss is the fundamental hypocrisy from both sides.

BOTH sides.
When they can jump up and down about the transgressions of their opponents, yet defend their own side for the exact same transgressions...it highlights their true intentions for all the rest of us to see.

As an aside, Randy "Duke" Cunningham was one of my biggest heroes growing up. It really pains me to see a man like him succumb to greed.
