More Rugged Tripod

I currently use a Reticam table stop i.e. short tripod for my spotting scope. It wasn't expensive and is decently built but is a little flimsy when I'm trying to precisely adjust my spotting scope.

Does anyone have suggestions for a tripod that's short enough to use while prone but is gonna be more rugged and solid?

Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately most table tops are really flimsy. We used to call them "spaghetti legs". There are good rigid table tops but the price may want you to sit down while reading as they're a specialty item & so expensive.
Google for "Gitzo Tripods" which will go (with a short column add on) down to about 5~7" & up to about chest height.
"Foba Mini Universal Tripod" is the pick of the litter, but sit down & have "A stiff one" before pricing it.
;)

Anyone tried the one made by Sniper Ops? Seem to have a lot of promise and isn't nearly as pricey as the other "good" ones.

You could try hanging a weight from the center of the one you have.
Sometimes that can steady up an otherwise shaky tripod.
