I dont know how to attach more than 3 pictures so I will do it in installments. It was about a 2 year effort off and on total maybe 100 hours. I moved once my wife had major surgery and this was my first effort. I received the basic kit as a retirement gift 10 years ago and finally decided to try it. Read a lot of books tried inlaying, carving , and innletting. Got a lot of good advice from you guys along the way. I Hand rubbed 5 coats of boiled linseed oil on stock, All metal parts including screw heads finished with plum brown 3 coats for darkness. I only wish I had tried this 50 years ago before I got old, blind and shaky. I just bought another kit from another member and will try to improve my skills on this one. No order to the pictures but there are pictures of the kit out of the box coming with the group. Comments and advice always welcome.

grandkids

Smoke&Recoil, I have 9 grand kids 2 of which are boys and 9 great grand kids 2 of each are boys. My oldest grandson is 11 loves fishing and hunting and will probably inherit the rifle. I just got another 50 cal.kit and will do it for the other one, If I live long enough maybe I can do 2 for the great grand kids too.
