I rec'd my 1963 2.5" Python today. I promised more pictures so here they are. The craftsmanship on this one is noticeable better than my 77 and 79 versions. I had heard the early ones were better, now I see the difference in person.
jgl, I have bought a good many guns in the last two years, but have never been more pleased than with this one. Its true it cost more than any other I have bought but it was a very satisfying purchase.
Nothing like getting the gun that you really want. I understand getting "the" gun. I have a nickel Model 19 that replaced a long lost "first" gun. I paid a bit more than I should have and I'll never, ever, sell it.
These pictures make your Python look better than the first set did.
Have you shot it yet? I was amazed how well the short Pythons handled the 357 loads.
RonR6, I paid the market price. I was watching 5 different ones on GB and they averaged just over 2300 bucks. So I was satisfied. I would have liked to have gotten a better deal, but the deals are quickly disappearing.
