More new Tauruses. I want 'em ALL.

So I'm sitting in the backroom over at my dealer's place, shopping the catalogs. Flipping throught the pages, what should I stumble on, but the Taurus ads. Neat, says I, I wonder if the new .45's are in here. They weren't, but a few other interesting things WERE.

They got a Raging Carbine. It's an eight-shot .30 Carbine that runs on Stellar clips, built on the Raging Bull frame. I've wanted a DA .30 carbine for a while. $579 wholesale was a bit of a damper, though. Still, cheaper than having Hamilton Bowen BUILD one for me.

They got a Raging Bee, also. I've always liked the Raging Hornet. DA Hand Rifles appeal to me. .218 Bee, a .32-20 necked down to .22, has more case capacity than the Hornet, and can do it one better on velocity, by about 100 FPS. An eight-shot Raging Bee is a neat idea.

They got one better, though. The .218 Bee is based on a regular Magnum-length case, so they don't NEED the larger Raging Bull frame to acomodate the shorter cases, so they chambered their Sillhouette Model for the Bee!

A medium-frame hot-shot .22 centerfire with a twelve-inch vent-rib barrel! Seven shots! And faster than the Hornet! A Hand_Varmint_Gun! I'm all over this like a cheap suit! And only $307, wholesale! None of this $600 stuff! Just gotta track down ammo, but that's what gunshows are for.

Oh, I'm in trouble. Taurus keeps pumping out new models I just GOTTA get.

If they put out a .25-20, I'm ruined. If I can't have a .25 Hornet, that'll work. Prolly work BETTER than a .25 Hornet.

And a .30 carbine on the medium frame would work for me too. Particularly if it's half the price of the Ragers, and weighs less.

They're making a .17 HRM gun, also. Based on the .22 mag Tracker, I think. THAT might actually make that caliber worth owning, to me. They gotta Sillhouette model of THIS one also. I'm dying, here!

Taking aim at S&W's market-share, Taurus has introduced a line of shrouded-hammer pocket guns. Starting with .38 special and .357, I imagine this line will expand to the large bores at some point. Drool.

.45 Long Colt Trackers are FINALLY here! With 6 1/2-inch barrels, no less. Long barrels, big bores, medium frames, all of my favorite features on ONE platform! I've been collecting .45 revolvers for years running, and now the exact ones I dreamed about (In BOTH calibers!) are here! AAAGH! Somebody send me some cash! These are only on the website, not in the ads, so patience is required. I can't wait until the fall, I want 'em NOW!

People are buzzing about the new .45's, but these are just as interesting. How come nobody's talking about all of these? They're apparently available NOW. Nobody told me. What am I, a mushroom?

Taurus is just BUCKETING out the new stuff. I wonder how much they're going to list in this stupid state. Thrice-damned Drop-test EXTORTION RACKET! THE GOVERNOR IS A FINK!

Someone ship the Kaliforny Legislature to Outer Mongolia. Make 'em live in a yurt and eat Yak butter until they learn some manners. The traitors.

Gee. One handgun a month. I just planned the rest of my year, without even going to a gunshow. They're all wheelguns. How the heck am I supposed to cram a Glock 29 in that mess. I HATE this stupid state sometimes. And licensing is coming! Oh, joy! MORE hoops, fees and restrictions.

Never mind the fact that right this second, I'm BROKE. Oh, well. Ask me what kind of cheese I want with my whine. I'm going to go eat worms. At least I just bought a stylish Colt snubby.

I noticed that a couple weeks ago when I was checking to see if they finially had listed the .45acp Tracker on their site (they had). That is also when I learned that the .45acp would come in a 2" snub:D . Anyway, I too am thinking about the .30 Carbine. Those with the Ruger sound like they have fun with it and this should cost less (and I do like Taurus guns). I guess if I decide to get one it will be the Ruger or Taurus based on which I see first while I have the money in my pocket :) , I won't try to decide between the two.

I gotta admit, I think Taurus has the hottest lineup going. I need to decide for hunting season weather to get a .45c Tracker or a .44 Raging Bull. I have it narroewd that far. Either one with a 6.5in barrel should do me well for whitetails, I suppose. I even want one of those new Platinum and Pearl 92s (I'd swap the pearl for some nice Houge wood stocks). It'd make a damn fine barbeque gun. I dig the whole grip thing on the millenium guns too. Thank God that somewone found a way to dress up that ugly plastic. Polymer may work well, but it is ugly.

I was looking to see if the 4" .45 Colt Trackers were listed on the web site, a few weeks ago, and was amazed- and delighted to find .45 ACP wheelguns and a .30 Carbine double-action, just to name a couple. It was almost like Taurus had been reading my mind, 'cuz I've been dreaming about a compact .45 wheelgun for a while, then I started thinking about a .30 Carbine...

Now the big question is: which one first? Just remember not to drop any "magnumized" .45 Colt load into the Taurii.

Brasso,

Email me when you're ready to GIVE them ALL to me! :D

I want a close up look at their new (imported) Winchester model 63 copy!

I was just to their site today, they have really extended their line with some pretty cool guns. I want. I want. I want.;)

Taurus Security System + the CIA

CIA shot, at 7 yards,
6" below point of aim and tended to scatter shots with the majority of ammunition we tested..
AMERICAN RIFLEMAN July 2002
They also didn't care for the sights.

I loathe the Taurus Security System--lose a key and what happens?

Other than that I do like Taurus I wish they would give us the option to pass on the Taurus Security System and I wish they would check out the NRA's insights into the CIA model.

Taurus does offer a remarkable array of calibers and types of wheel guns and they have a top-notch custom department.
