Should anyone be surprised... (other than it took this long)?

The "...who's disqualified..." aspects are covered in the article. But does anyone have insight to what is meant by/in store for "high-powered pistols"?

(and a Federal-level "gun storage..." reqm't could be a real camel's nose.)

It looks like more vague speculation from a questionable source.

Regulations may only be promulgated under authority conferred by statute and within the scope of that authority. They must also be published for public comment before becoming final.

Until the proposed regulations are actually published so we can see exactly what is being proposed, and under what statutory authority, there's nothing to discuss.
