Moon Clips for 357 Mag

Greetings all-

Simple two-part question. If I have my 686 modified to accept moon clips, (part 1) can I still single load rounds, and (part 2) will the ejector still assist in removing the spent brass?

I used the search function, but found nothing definitive regarding this specific question.

Regards,

Indigo

Thanks for the quick response.

Why wouldn't I have my revolver modified to accept moon clips? Am I missing something here?

The only reasons that come to me not to have the machining done is to preserve a historical firearm or just because you don't intend to use moonclips.

Moonclips ARE brass specific and will usually do best with a couple of brands of brass. The reason for this is that there is not an industry standard for the size of the groove in the brass used by the moonclips. Brass with a wider groove require a thicker clip and visa versa. I have used TK Custom's clips with Starline and RP brass, have gone exclusively to Starline as I do like it. Federal needs a thinner clip and I can't use Winchester.

My M66 is destined to go to Pinnacle as soon as I can set some money aside.
