In my search to find a 6.5 Creedmoor with the features I like, I emailed many manufacturers and builders.

I recently got an email from Larry at Montana Firearms Group. Here is what he said:

I just convinced our owners to offer the 6.5 Creedmoor, they would be a non-standard caliber but we can do it.
You would add $200 to which ever rifle you decided.
Sincerely,
Larry

That is very exciting news!

What I like about their offerings is the action is similar to a pre-64 Model 70 action. That means a Mauser type action with Controlled Round Feed.

Montana Model 1999 Action

Wow, they are running a slightly different reamer into the .264 barrel they already stock, and charging you an extra $200 for it?

Did they ask you to squeal like a pig?

I'm betting the reamer isn't going to magically appear to cut the 6.5 creedmoore chamber, quality reamers aren't free.. Now with that said I would think a non standard chambering for Montana would have some additional expense. I like the looks of the action but not sold on the stock configuration they are using.. Last thought, if I wanted a rifle I would buy what I want and not fuss to much about an extra $200.00. I like to spoil myself!! William

William, I agree, buy what you want, I think I do that about, roughly, 100% of the time. :D

I was impressed that several weeks after I had emailed them and they had said they do not make a rifle in that chambering that the remembered me and contacted me and told me what they could do for me. I think that is great. It shows they listen. It shows that they remember and reach out. I am impressed with that.

Will I get one? I don't know, but I am glad they are listening.

I believe Riverman Gunworks in Idaho makes the MBR in 6.5 Creedmore.
The MBR is a unique bolt action style AR with interchangeable barrels so you can switch calibers.
I believe the MBR is guaranteed to shoot 1/2 MOA.
