What is so wrong with engraved guns that they become "monstrosities?"
A monstrosity is a 1911 with all the trick stuff, or an AR so modified as to be unrecognizable, or a gun finish that is painted on.
Perhaps if that gun had a rail and flashlight added, you would like it better?

That should be obvious to the more intellectually astute. A functional firearm, that looks like anything but, can easily be used right on the desk as a paperweight, or look like a lighter. The tactical advantage of surprise should be obvious. Wake up, people.
