Moisin Nagant 91/30 Sniper Rifle Source

Can anyone suggest a good source for such rifles? After reading "Marine Sniper" and "War of the Rats", I'd really like to learn more about this rifle, and what better way than to acquire and shoot one.

Any other suggestions regarding the subject will be appreciated as well. For example, a list (with URL's) of C&R dealers might be handy (I've learned about Empire Arms ... neat site).

I would not plan on shooting such a rifle a great deal, but I would want one that I could put a number of rounds through so I can become familiar with it in detail.

Thanks. Regards from AZ

Tuco's (mosin-nagant.net) used to have a forum and a trader board, but they've moved to his new site: www.gunboards.com. If you go to the trader, you can post your interest and someone is bound to have one for sale. You can also do a search and see what they've been going for lately (FWIW, they seem to have doubled in price since the beginning of the year). Tuco's original (www.mosin-nagant.net) site has a links page with lots of dealer links. There're are also a lot of articles posted on the rifles there, but you might consider purchasing Doug Bowser's "Rifles of the White Death" and Terence Lapin's "The Mosin Nagant Rifle" from Empire Arms for great info.

Allegheny Arms had a bunch of snipers back around March (when everyone had them), and the reports on the quality were good. You might check them out.

Have fun. I shot one (with the 3x PU scope) over here in ABQ last weekend, and it was a hoot. I love the MNs!
