Theres is a fellow I work with who is interested in purchasing a blackpowder pistol. For the life of me, I can't recall any modern manufacturers that have one available. Surely there must be someone who has these available? CVA, Traditions? If so, please provide manufacturers and names of the models? Thanks so much.

These are modern inline "type" hunting pistols:

Traditions makes the .50 Vortek:

Kahnke Gun Works of Redwood, Minnesota makes his custom model. The owner Gordon Kahnke has been making up to .54 rifles and pistols for a long time. Call 507-637-2901 or send an email. Be sure to check out the brochure tab on his website for details.

And of course there are a number of modern manufacturers of replica black powder pistols, such as Uberti and Pietta, both available through Cabela's. Pretty much all of the pistols are manufactured in Italy these days, but the QC is usally more than adequate.

You talking about this kind of modern?
