Model Seven Remington Trigger Adjustment.

I had a Model 700, a few years ago, and someone showed me how to adjust the trigger pull, and warned me about setting it too light.

They also showed me how to test if the pull was too light, by slamming the bolt home on a empty chamber reapeatedly after adjustment, to make sure the hammer would not fall from the force of the bolt being closed.

The question is:

How do I adjust the trigger on this Remington Model Seven Carbine I recently bought?

I haven't taken the action from the stock yet, but plan on doing it soon.

If I remember correctly, there is a screw I must turn????

Well, I gotta play with a new 700, doning the same thing. I doubt they're different. Allen wrenches, unless I miss my guess. Take off the stock, look, play! One thing for sure, they didn't weld it...

You try; I'll try; if I goof, I'll ask you!

Art, how's that little 700 workin' for you? I haven't seen your review of it, but I've gotta admit that I've been pretty busy the last few weeks (months).

Why is this an inappropriate graphic, and what do you mean no e-mail address?

George: Thanks. Obviously, once the action is out of the stock, it's all very obvious.

Long Path: I wuz gonna go to the range today, but the lying weather people said it was gonna rain in south Georgia. I hate mud. And, I'm getting ready for a tradeshow trip with the Bosslady. (Grump.)

Scooter, I assume the flag is considered inappropriate. Probably due to the "Stars and Bars". You don't have an e-mail address in your registration or at least for whatever reason when you post the little e-mail icon doesn't show up. I really can't answer for the staff that's just what I assume is going on. I guess that if you include your e-mail address then the state flag would be OK. George

I had an e-mail address in my profile, I had selected the option to not let everyone see my e-mail address, to avoid spam mail...

It's changed for now, until I start getting junk mail.....

scoot, I've never gotten any junk mail because of TFL...Gotten a few good comments, and some visiting. So far, so good!

I messed with the trigger some, this afternoon. A bit of annoying "takeup" yet to take out, but it's at least a bit lighter. Basically good, but no Canjar, for sure.

FWIW, Art
