hey every one its your local Australian signing in!
So after years of waiting im finally getting my first gun! What better piece of steel than a model 94 could you ask for :)
My local dealer has 7 second hand 94's for sale ranging in condtion age and price. I'm looking for any info or advice on the beautiful guns before i pick one, i have even recorded the serial numbers but cant find much about them on google. If some one could tell me thier age and which may be a better choice id be very greatful.

I do like the yellow boy, i may end up with one of each :P
Thanks in advance Roger

thanks guys, i cant seem to make much sense of the proofhouse website..
at this stage im leaning towards the better condition yellowboy.
Can any one direct me to some web sites with some history, advantages/disadvantages of these firearms. I.e will the finish on a yellowboy out last that of a slighty worn blue action? also ive read some were the 92-00 models have a cheaper roll pin instead of solid steel pins. Im just trying to get as much research in before i commit! The prices here in oz are rediculous, a s/h 94 in good condition still has a price tag higher than a new Marlin 30-30 lever action. Even the best condition one they have is 3/4 the price of the new winchester.
thanks again roger
