Hello,
I was wondering if anyone had any experince with this model? Its listed as a speical run, and MRSP at $380. I wouldn't mind a 12ga. for home defense, and maybe some weekend fun at the range. I have yet to fire a shotgun with a pistol grip, so this is merely just interest. The 870 Marine or the Police Magnum is also being considered.

for that price you could get a regular police model...buy an aftermarket extension and PG for peanuts. Or buy a regular express model for much less, and buy an aftermarket extension and PG for peanuts. You should come out ahead, ebay off the wood furniture, and use the savings for ammo...

Get the full stocked version of the same gun and you'll be good to go------the PG models are pretty worthless for actually hitting a target----esp if its moving.

As above, for that money you could buy a Remington Police model, which is the top-of-the-line in pump shotguns.

Also as above, the PG-only stock looks GREAT.......In a Hollywood movie.

A quick trip to a shooting range and a run through of a shotgun defense course will quickly prove that the PG-only stock is NOT effective.

MOST people who try a PG-only stock quickly replace it with a full length stock.

In the "real world" a PG-only gun is in reality just a HUGE, unwieldy pistol.

You can't aim it effectively from the hip, and you can't hold it out like a stocked gun.

If you absolutely insist on trying one, buy a full stocked guns and pick up a pistol grip to try.

That way, when you see how ineffective and clumsy it is, you can switch back.

Thanks agasin guys, your input is very helpful. This idea was just me day dreaming, and not a genuine interest. The Marine Magnum maybe my next shotgun purchase, with out the PG.
