W Wyoredman New member Aug 29, 2012 #6 Very nice! I have a model 70 with a scope just like that! Unfortunatly, my stock was broken by a tree limb while the rifle was in my saddle scabard on an elk hunt a few years ago. Would you sell that stock? ***wink, wink***

K Keg New member Aug 31, 2012 #10 The wood is awesome....I would rather have an all steel mount and rings....Maybe Redfield or Leupold 3x9 on top.... That being said..my dads old pre 64 had a weaver scope and Beuhler mount and rings....

J Jim Watson New member Aug 31, 2012 #11 Well, it IS a Featherweight, so the aluminum scope mounts make some sense.

The bases are current production, probably aluminum What Chambering? Click to expand... .270 The stock shows usage in the field, but that just encourages me to shoot it more
