I just saw an article somewhere about a new model 60 with a round butt, 5 inch barrel, and .357 cal. Looked at it real hard and read about it. The whole concept has me just baffled. I think I will stick with a 66. What need does this one fill?

Great little kit gun that feels better in your hand than it looks in a magazine. It also works well for Canadians whose laws require longer barrels, Regards, Richard :D

The word is that S&W wants to be all things to all people. PacRim small handed men/women need revolvers, women might target shoot with one, sportspeople might want it as a kit gun and campers also. I like the idea but, wrong frame, -1 capacity, wrong caliber and a 3" barrel would be better. A K-22 in 5" would sell as fast as they could be made. A M30 in 32 S&W Long, 6 shots and a 5" barrel and round butt might sell. The CCW folks would like to see the Regulation Police revolver in 32 H&R Magnum.

Similiar idea

I recently got a nice 36-1 cheap cause the guy had sawed off the spur for CCW training. Like the idea of a 3 incher, but longer? Maybe in rimfire like you said. Got a new hammer and Wolff springs and put into it, now pretty smooth for a J frame, will never equal a K frame for action. But the CCW classes must have used alot of wadcutters, I could sell the lead mining rights to this gun! Still working on getting it all out. And got some custom grips on ebay to make a nice little package. A Smith and Wesson in every room! What security!
