Model 36 grip alternatives?

I just bought a stock gripped Model 60 and the factory grip leaves something to be desired. Recoil and hand placement consistancy is what I am after!
I have read good things abut the Uncle Mikes Boot Grip.
Opnions?

Man... there are so many accessory grips for that gun I can't even begin to count. Go to a gun shop and try a few out to see what fits your mitt.
Lots of gun shops have a nice selection of used 36s with grips you may not even have heard of... try them too.

Don't forget the Barami Hip Grip... if you want a easy carry, easy concealment grip.

Cheers,

I have become an avid fan of these Eagle Secret Service grips. Mine are rosewood.

Three of these are fitted with Eagle grips. They are wood, very slim and hand fitting. In my opinion they are far superior to rubber grips or plasticized wood materials.

Using previous (#4) post as a visual reference, the Secret Service Eagle grip panels proved to split in short order. But that was in my 3" M 13 357. I never tried them in an Airweight.

The Eagle Secret Service panels were replaced by the factory 'Service' panels (top right image) or the Birami. Either with a Tyler grip adapter.

The J frame was pretty much the same. My bride has found that the Birami Hip Grip and the Tyler has more solutions to on body carry issues.

Before I grew my Michelin Man profile, I would have agreed.

Thanks for all the greaqt answers!
What I am after is a grip to get my Model 36 to quit flopping around in the hand. I figgure if I can get a good grip on the grip area, then the trigger guard would stop banging into my trigger finger. That really smarts after several cylinder- fulls
I'm pretty sure you wouldn't notice the quick rap on the knuckle in a real Combat situation (Which I will avoid if possible!!!).
I think that a wider, thicker grip will help with a consistant hold too. That'll give the best accuracy too!

Me too.

Birami and Tyler.

Second choice. Std S&W skinny service panels and the Tyler.

Third choice, I don't know. There are LOTS of options. Whatever works for you and yours. Consider the 'yours' mention.

Some beautifull wood!
How are the prices?
Do they distribute the recoil as well as rubber does?
