Model 29 price check

I have located a 4" blued M29 here in Southern California. The gun is an older one; P&R'd, no dash#, and it is very clean and tight. Grips are rubber, but that's easy to correct. Little to no wear beyond the cylinder ring.

I know prices in the PRK are higher as we can only buy PPT's that are already local for guns not on the "approved" list.

Just trying to get a ball park feel.

but you can expect them to go around under $400 for a good
tight one around here(used).

Here in Texas I bought a 4" P&R for $325 and a stainless 4" 629 for $415. I would expect to add $100 to $150 for Calif. Check the price of a NIB 629 and price accordingly.
 
love to pay AZ prices

I would love to pay AZ prices. I just need to find someone from AZ willing to meet me at a shop in California so I can buy from them... :)

Asking price for the M29 I'm looking at is $500. A clean M28 I picked up earlier this year was a shade under $400. The NIB M36-7 I got was $369. Prices are definately highter here.

Paid $500 for an 8 3/8" 29-2 about a year ago...carrying cash and being patient is one thing, but here in San Diego I felt lucky just to find one. Aint exactly a gun store on every corner out here...

And I'd pay $600 for a nice one if I could find it up here in the bay Area. Problem is the new SW guns aren't well fitted and I don't want to spend $600 on a fixer-upper.
