Small world. I have a nickel model 10 (4" barrel) I keep in the nightstand for protection. About 30 years old, looks like new. Mine came with those same wood grips, I put on rubber for better gripping.
My father and I love model 10/MP revolvers and collect them.
We always had one or two around but started buying them about 12 years ago to collect different styles. We currently have 48 of them in our collection and each are in very good or better condition and most have the original box and paperwork. Oldest one is from 1931 (4" pencil barrel) and our favorite is the 5" pencil barrel model with round butt. We have several 5" pencil barrel models and they are amazingly well balanced revolver.
When we started collecting these revolvers they were pretty cheap and common since everybody wanted pistols instead of revolvers but in last several years they are getting harder to find and prices have gone up a lot.
