MMM...Nobody "Needs" A Handgun

I see a theme emerging here. CNN keeps interviewing women who have a tragic story who, at the end of their little "testimonial" say, "we're not out to take the guns away. Hunters and sport shooters have nothing to fear from us. We want HANDGUNS to be confiscated. Handguns have no legitimate purpose. They're only used to kill people". Nothing is mentioned about the express purpose of a law-abiding person having the ability to protect himself/herself.
How many people will be fooled by this stupid emotional display?
Another example of the reason Slick is still around. Quivering lips and the phrase "I care".

Overall,it's called "Divide and Conquer". Next will be the same charade against hunting. Then against the noise or lead of skeet-shooting or target-shooting...

Contemporaneously, there will be efforts to protect the environment by taxing all lead. And the Moynihan approach of high taxes on all ammo, not just those "evil high-crime"
pistol cartridges...

And as the crime rate goes up, it will be "found" that we need even more controls and restrictions.

Well,
As with anything Klintonian in nature, those
much less than million moms are wrong again.
Simply reviewing historical data we find that
every household is to be armed, and it's nothing less than a constitutional mandate.
" A well Regulated Militia"....study that word..... Regulated.... in it's historic context and we see that
"Regulated" doesn't mean controlled, but rather properly equipped, trained, armed and provisioned. Therefore we as American citizens are constitutionally obligated to own, maintain, and be proficient with firearms not limited to rifles and shotguns. We are also to be adequetly provisioned to withstand the attacks by fraudulent government agents, which is the real and true expectation of the Second Ammendment to the Constitution of the United States of America.

Liberty or Death......... without compromise.

Anyone else notice the "softball questions" Cokie Roberts was pitching to that great constitutional scholar Rosie O'Donnell?

Disgusted (I seem to sign off like that a lot these days),

I'm glad that I got rid of my TV a few years back. My life is better for it. Now I read the posts and raise my blood pressure.

Control the media and control the American Sheeple.

Art,

Well said, unfortunately I aggree with you all to much.

But we are our wost enemies. It seems that only a very small portion of gun owners is active in the RKBA fight. Many could care less, and some Duck hunters even agree with the anti's in that "No one really needs one of those...." They just don't get it, that when the nasty ugly black military looking guns are gone, then the anti's will go after their Perazzi's, Winchester 21's or 101's, etc. Only then it will be too late.

Here's what I did today in my part of the RKBA fight. I mailed a pro gun E-mail to my Congressman, Senators and even the President [now that'll do a lot of good].

Rob

RKBA!

It's amazing what a large group of stupid people can accomplish.

Nobody needs a woman so fearful of losing her daytime mommy audience that she won't come out of the closet, who obviously failed Logic 101 in spectacular fashion, speaking on serious issues as though she was anything more than a successful comedienne. (Sadly, before she launched her crusade, I liked Rosie, and still believe she's good people at heart, just sadly misguided and too blinded by her own fears to be swayed).

This reminds me of when congress summoned noted biochemist Meryl Streep to testify on Alar in our apples.

These are entertainers people, their opinions mean no more, and quite possibly less, than the average schmoe on the street. But because we as a nation have confused the ability to act, tell funny jokes, look pretty in front of a camera, or play sports with leadership, knowledge, and innate intelligence, we accord the court jester more respect than the court.

You know, I disagree rabidly with Dennis Miller on many topics (RKBA first and foremost), but agree with him on others, and you know why he's not as popular as, say, Rosie? Because he's too literate and intelligent for the bread-and-circuses crowd to understand...

Well if they wanted to argue 2nd amendment I could see the point about not having handguns. Fact is for compromise I will give up my handguns if they let me have the Class III weapons I would really need to be part of a "well regulated militia".

I would settle for a M14 and a HK UMP in 45acp [a SMG]. And a belt fed 50 cal on my car :D

Okay to be fair, I should be stuck with a M16/M203, and a M21, and a M24. That would fit the intent of the 2nd wouldn't it? Military weapons?

I will let Spectre carry the M60 :D Heck I'll stick with the M21 most days

Of course they would need to let me carry openly because those guns are to much work to hide.

There can be only one!

All I needed was airfare to D.C. and I would have counter-protested. My picket signs would've read: "We don't need gun control, what we need is Sean Puffy Coombs control!" and "Mothers, ban rap music now, register and license that darn First Amendment!"

"We want HANDGUNS to be confiscated."

One of the scary things, why do people who want handguns confiscated want them registered?

Battler.

Nobody NEEDS handguns *if* open carry of submachine guns is possible. Otherwise, I think they'd prefer that we carry 1911s concealed to seeing M16s worn openly :)

Shucks

Truthfully, I was waiting for something dumb to happen at the march today. I could just see it, someone getting gunned down or threatened with a firearm so the moms could get even more coverage. I am glad it didn't happen, but you know what would be blamed!

Heard a good one come out of Rosie O'Ignorant on TV this morning. She said there are only 20,000 gun laws and over 200 million guns, so the guns are winning. Man, how do you respond to such ignorance and stupidity. She couldn't really respond to the interviewer's comment that handguns are already banned in D.C. yet they have the highest murder rate in the nation.
