MMM: It's Raining Bullets

I have to think they're running out of steam now. The top story on their website, http://www.millionmommarch.com is falling New Year's Eve bullets. Apparently, bullets are now flinging themselves into the sky and falling on unsuspecting passersby. Please be careful out there next week. :)

Interestingly, the main page says that dozens of people are killed each New Year by these bullets, but their "model letter" reads like the chain letters I too often find in my email inbox.

I feel that this is something to think about. The article reminds me of a documentary I saw once concerning a lunar eclipse. The army in some little village down in South America somewhere thought a Dragon was eating the moon so they opened fire on it. Unfortanatly the angle of their shots was just right for all of the rounds to come raining down on the village. I don't remember the exact number of deaths, but it was a pretty high amount.

New Years is a time for celebration, but everyone please be careful. There is no coming back after making a fatal mistake.
 
Responsible gun owners ALWAYS know what their backstop will be. That's part of the safety factor of being a responsible gun owner.

Sheesh! The MMM's are running around saying "The Sky is Falling, The Sky is Falling!". That's all they've got now? Kind of weak, wouldn't you say? I wonder what will happen to this group, once Dem's are out of power in the White House? After all, it was one of their PR people that started all of this. Now that she has to go out and find a real job, watch MMM fold up and blow away. I would be surprised if the Dems continue this little charade, as they can no longer backdrop it with the Pres and the White House, they will be seen as just one more 'left wing liberal whacko organization'. Of course, now that Rosie is no longer going to do her show, maybe she could head MMM. Nothing more appropriate than the blind leading the stupid.
 
Actually ...

In some cultures (notably Latino, apparently), there is a bit of a custom involving firing guns into the sky on New Year's and other holidays. Very foolish.

This happens fairly often in Phoenix, and tragically results in deaths and injuries occasionally. And, this past year also resulted in some feel-good, pointless legislation - 'Shannon's Law'. Added a third, potential felony to the books for recklessly firing a gun.

So, the MMMer's have a point on this issue, including the current ones on the tops of their heads. I'm not going to waste bandwidth visiting their site today ...

I doubt if these MMM will go away. They have all their gun grabbing buddies in the Senate to help them out(re: Hillary). WE must never let down our guard. One high profile shooting ( I hope to God not) is all that it will take.

The saddest part is that the majority of the Mommies are just so uniformed.

Of course not shooting into the air is sensible and there are some risks when you are in a drunken crowd but the MMM was formed to fight this? I would be willing to bet that a whole lot more people die from alcohol poisoning, let alone drunk driving, on New Year's Eve than will ever be harmed by bullets falling from the air. The shooting today will give them new fuel for a while but I really think they're losing steam if this is what they are complaining about. Let's just make sure we keep at it and don't let our guard down.
 
I have a friend that was a cop in a city north of me who said that every New Years Eve at midnight all the cop's on the streets would pull into parking structures, never on the top level, until the noise stopped. FWIW

Bird bombs are nice but I prefer German rocket assisted parachute flares. I've got 'em in white and red.
 
The MMM is a communist front organization. They are extremely well financed. They will not go away. We shall have to continue to fight them, just as we fight the other communist front organizations, who want to confiscate our firearms, destroy the Constitution and institute their version of "The Great Brave New Marxist Socialist Police State Utopia."

Cambodia is the country wherte they fire their guns to frighten off the dragon eating the moon. So far, they have been successful every time so I do not see any change in this tradition in the foreseeable future.

In The City of Los Angeles, the cops are instructed to drive their cars into underground or concrete parking garages or underpasses and bridges to avoid falling lead. There is no police protection from 11:50PM til 12:05AM on New Years because they are afraid they will break odds greater than those of being struck by lightning.

Me thinks the misguided mommies musta been raised by Chicken Little. Yeah, on point, bustin' caps in the air is better practiced out in the country, but they really ought to be more worried about them 5 gal. buckets, skateboards/scooters, etc. M2
 
MMM and HCI are very well funded leftist (actually fascist is a better term) organizations which the public knows very little about. Has anyone seen or heard of a make being run on these organizations? I would love to see who runs the organizations, their biographies, their education history including schools, times, degrees, etc.; financial reports, contributors and amounts; and interlocking boards of directors as appropriate.

I'll bet you the best steak dinner at a Waffle House the organizations are not funded by members but some well known leftist foundations. All this info should be thrown up in the face of the media the next time pro's and anti's go nose to nose over an event or issue.
