MMM in San Antonio

Yep, those ninnies are planning a march there.

Check out http://www.salsa.net/peace/mmm/index.html

On the left side they have "Take a Survey"
which asks "Kids and Guns -- Should it be a felony to allow a child have access to a gun?".

It's now running 82% "No" to 14% "Yes". Help pound these airheads into the ground, and if you have time, drop a note about it. Click on "Join a Discussion" and commence firing.

Lessee if I have this right. They are upset and dismayed by all the violence wherein guns are misused. Is this correct?

So, to "do something", they will have a march, followed by a picnic with music. There is a question or two which come to mind about all this togetherness:

Is this in some way an exorcism? Will it remove evil from the hearts of the perpetrators of these various crimes? Children will no longer hate their classmates? Armed robbers will see the error of their ways and offer no more harm to anybody?

Imagine the probable makeup of the crowd of marchers, with their outpourings of emotions and sweat! Is it reasonable to assume it will be couch potatoes in the Texas sun? I submit that in all probability the sponsors of this march either manufacture or distribute various remedies for heat rash.

Dennis, Glenn,
Do y'all see the possibilities here? We should all get together with the wive's and all and go to their picnic! I'll have some shirts made up... hell, come to think of it, I can bring my BBQ pit, and we can throw our own coupl'a guys march. If there are any other TFL'rs in a hundred mile radius of SA, we should all get together and have a good time reigning on their parade (literally and I used the correct term by reign)

Oatka:

Have no fear. We're talkin Texas here not the District of Criminals. Heck half the vehicles in the Lone Star State have a pistol in the glove box ccw or no ccw. Your post is well thought of nevertheless. With minimal orgaization, we can show up en mass and let it be known in a peaceable manner that the law abding gun owner has had enough of this touchy-feely bravo sierra.

Having been born and raised in SA, for more than four decades, you can count me in for this one.

I do not live there any longer, due to a job relocation, but I am only two hours away.

If there is enough interest, let's use this thread to organize a get-together.

Oops, I will be in Minnesota for that weekend on business. However, I think I will call the local radio stations and ask them if they want another opinion either before or after.

Last time I did any marching it was in a high school band uniform (or was it ROTC?).

I guess I'll have to break out the sunscreen and walkin' shoes.
