BTW, last I heard, my ol AF recruiter's office still had every single model plane I built for them hanging from the ceiling. That was in '86-'87 that I built them, and they're still there. Everything from a 1:48 scale A-10 to a 1:144 scale E-3A Sentry, and a HUGE B-36 Peacemaker(!) with electric motors in the nacelles and blinky-flashy lights.

Guess I was an evil dangerous mass-murderer in the making.

Maybe you should start the kids building model tanks and challenge her to do something about it.

These kinds of morons are going to bring their own demise. They only serve to make themselve look like idiots, which makes their entire stance look foolish. Help her out a little bit.
 
In the exterminating field I teach my students that one characteristic of pest organisms is that they are able to breed rapidly.

Apparently this holds true for stupid people, they just breed faster than normal folks. No wonder this country is sliding downhill!

This isn't surprising. I encountered a mother, son, and grandmother in a supermarket. The mom realizes her son has a bag of plastic soldiers, which is all right....except they have GUNS in their hands, and that is not acceptable. Grandma suggests a bag of cowboys and indians (and they have flower bouquets in their hands?) That option is out, and they consider airplanes. Meanwhile the little boy is crying and carrying on aloud that he can't have the bag of soldiers. I don't know which was more pathetic:
1. The mother's sad attempt to stop 'violence in her household' ala MMM empowerment.
2. The mother's lack of discipline of her child, letting him be spoiled, and carrying that on into adolesence until he gets himself in juv hall, when she wonder "I kept him away from evil guns, whatever went wrong?"
 
dZ, let's ask her if she was born stupid, or if it is a skill she developed over the years.

If you want to put tanks together, I'll send you one. Let me know.
 
I couldn't believe this. If model tanks and aircraft carriers that I built as a kid were a bad influence, shouldn't I have taken my Glock that I purchased last October and gone on a shooting spree? I watch violent movies. I play online games like Counter Strike and Team Fortress which have "gasp" guns! Shouldn't I be out killing now instead of being a law abiding gun toting harmless (cept to burglars and assailants) citizen?
