Military Modelers next on MMM agenda

I'm a scout leader. At an informal gathering, a parent overheard me mentioning to other leaders that the local IPMS chapter I'm a member of
had a "Make-n-Take" Snap-Tite event for kids at a local mall. I had suggested we link our pack and the club together for a repeat of this event.
I was questioned by this parent, who is a well known Million Mom March rabble rouser. She demanded to know if these were car kits, or if
they were weapons of war.
I replied that they were indeed car kits, and she said that was good, because building model tanks and planes should be banned, especially for
children.
She also doesn't approve of collectors (like me) owning real military vehicles.
