MK9 Recoil spring change?

Running Kahr MK9, approx 400 rds downrange, premium factory & handload 124 gr cartridges. Experiencing frequent jams; FTF & FTE. Firm grip & thumb away from slide release. Gun clean & lubed. Magazines check okay.
The slide is difficult FOR ME to rack, so I was thinking of changing to a lighter force recoil spring set (with steel guide rod).
Wolff cautions against too light a spring force, as may damage gun. They offer a spring set that is 2 lbs lighter than factory standard.
Any thoughts or advice. Thanks :)

I’d rather run what the factory thinks is best. Id rather have oversprung than under sprung too.

If they’re handloads I’d run some hot stuff through it. Kahrs are finicky little bastards, but I still love em.

Thanks. Dan-O. I will likely stick with factory recoil springs, but will still install steel guide rod.
During break-in, I noticed most frequent jams occurred with lighter loads. Seems gun likes hotter loads, in which case I will definitely run factory standard springs. I carry +P SD rounds, which the gun prefers over the white box stuff.
Since I don't have hands of a gorilla, I'm thinking lighter recoil spring would ease the racking difficulty. Guess I could toughen up & run what the gun likes best.

I mostly shoot reloads. I also prefer 147 gr pills.

Imho the stiff recoil spring also helps with felt recoil in such a small package.
