Senate Amendment to End Junk Lawsuits!

ATTENTION Mississippi NRA Members!

Senate Floor Amendment to End Junk Lawsuits Against The Firearms Industry

As early as tomorrow (Tuesday, April 11), the Mississippi State Senate
could consider an amendment by Sen. Tommy Robertson (R-Moss Point) to
House Bill 1415 (relating to the manufacture and sale of silencers) that
would prohibit cities from filing junk lawsuits against federally-licensed
firearms manufacturers and dealers.

As you already know, Gun-maker Smith & Wesson recently capitulated to
the demands of the anti-gun Clinton Administration and big-city mayors,
agreeing to more than 25 pages of far-reaching, never-voted on
restrictions on gun designs, gun sales, gun purchases and gun advertising.
Other companies are holding firm, but if more cities file suit, other gun
makers and dealers may become financially crippled and be forced to settle
as well. That would mean higher prices for your guns and more restrictions
on your Second Amendment rights!

Please call Lieutenant Governor Amy Tuck and following State Senators at
the capitol in Jackson this afternoon and Tuesday morning and urge them to
support (1) a motion to reconsider HB 1415 and (2) the Robertson amendment
to ban junk lawsuits by cities against gun manufacturers and dealers.

According to legislative deadlines, the last day that the Mississippi
Senate can consider HB 1415 and the Robertson amendment is Wednesday,
April 12. Your calls will make the difference, so please call TODAY, and
be sure that your family, friends and fellow Second Amendment supporters
call as well!
