2. Copyright law provides for “fair use” of portions of a copyrighted work. You can copy no more than a SINGLE paragraph from the article to your post (3 or 4 sentences at most).

    3. You must provide a link to the article along with the name of website. For example: ww.xxx.yyy/zzz (The Lower Thumbsuck Daily News).

    4. You must provide, in your own words, a brief summary of the article AND your reasons for believing it will be of interest to TFL members. Failure to do so may result in the thread being closed or your post being deleted as a “cut and paste drive by.”

    5. Photographs and other images are also copyrighted. "Hotlinking" of images (so that it appears in your message) from other sites is also prohibited unless you own rights to the image. If you wish to share an image, provide a clickable link to it.

Posts that do not follow these new guidelines will be altered or deleted by staff. Members who continue to violate this policy may lose their posting privileges at TFL.

Missing Trends?

Are trends between mid-February through Mid-July missing or taken off-line?

I wanted to post a question with regard to the 10mm VS the .357Mag but before I did that, I did a search because I didn't want to ask the question again if it had already been covered before. I didn't see any trends on this topic but I also didn't see any trends on the 10mm VS .45ACP and I know that is a question that I posted not to long ago.

It seems that the search goes up until February and then stops and then picks up again in July -- not showing any posts for March, April, May or June.

Just curious what the story is before I re-post something that might have been posted already (maybe even by me).

Mal, this is what I did ...

I searched the "handgun" sub-forum looking for the keyword "revolver" as part of the title

I also searched the "handgun" sub-forum looking for the keyword "10mm" as part of the title
... both times the list stopped in February and picked up again in July or August. With regard to the "10mm" search, I know that I posted something entitled "10mm VS .45ACP" (or something like that} and the search for "10mm" didn't bring that trend up which makes me believe that trends from March, April, May & June are not accessable any longer.

By George, I believe you're right. Either that or no one mentioned the word "revolver" for 5 months - highly unlikely! We'll take a look into the problem and post a response here. It may take a while as Rich may have to do his magic and he's on vacation right now, so don't hold your breath.

(BTW, they're called threads or topics, not trends.)
