I missed a question you posted ref. M-60 t&E jump.

I had a typo on my post suggesting "60" weighed in at 27#. The Bolt Carrier group was removed as well as the front sight group. The weapon, with belted amo, weighed in at 23#. I, being at the top of my usual weight swing @250#,of course brought the total load with Chalker and gear up to 470#. The opening was a real bear, but the next series of jumps were easier as we learned how to pack a delay opening.

Thanks for that clarification, I was confused there for a moment.

One of the times I really liked being average or less in weight was in combat equipment jumps.

You big guys hit a lot harder (especially at Bliss in the hottest part of the summer)!
