Article on AOL "Man accidentally kills self with gun during demonstration on gun safety" makes you think a pro screwed up. Read the article, the guy had been drinking all day and was showing off for his girlfriend by putting what he thought was an unloaded gun to his head and pulling the trigger. I'll keep my comments to myself.

I clicked on the article too

Now I know 'The rest of the story'.

I figure this guy was an idiot before he picked up his rum and coke or his handgun.

Booze & guns....

People don't seem to learn: booze & guns don't mix! :D
I read the article too. The hapless gun owner had three firearms laying around.

What I don't get is his reported "put the gun to his head" bit.
I get a bit miffed when-ever anyone does that with their fingers let alone a firearm.

In Florida too, I read of a young man(25) who was "repairing" a 5.56mm AR when it fired & struck a guy in his living room.
Local law enforcement call it a tragic accident, but I think there may be more to it.

I had a M-16a1 5.56mm for four years in my teens/early 20s, while in the US military. I never cleaned or fixed it when it had live rounds.
To my knowledge, the AR owner was not charged by police.

This isn't directly related to matters of law or civil rights, and without a direct link to the original article, there's not much to discuss.
