The last few years I have been hunting (deer) in a slug zone, I have been using a Mossberg 695 in 12ga the gun has performed flawless over the years and is quite accurate. Question: during my pre-hunt test fire I had a Remington sabot fail to fire, the primer was "dimpled" I put the shell back in and again, misfire. I discarded the shell and continued my shooting, without incident. Should I just "Chock" this up to a bad shell and forget it? or could it be a sign of things to come? I also had a shell fail to eject (this is a bolt action) I had to take a rod and push the shell out. The gun had been put away fairly wet (oiled) and I am thinking this was what caused this, any Ideas, Thanks msn
