I got a letter in the mail from the Minuteman PAC.
I don't like it, but I wholeheartedly support the minutemen.
Here's what I don't like.
It reads like an NRA letter. It was probably written by the same j@ck@$$ who writes their letters. Every other sentence is underlined to stress the inevitably despairing point that babies are being thrown into space, right now! Only your money can do anything to fix it. We understand that your dollars are valuable to you, but we're here to make them work as hard as possible. That's why we need your money to help these 30 political candidates win!
If we're not careful, this movement can become institutionalized and stalled, like the NRA and the march of dimes. They will take on new "quests", collecting money, and 50-100 years later the minutemen will be crusading against allowing children born on China's part of the moon to wander willy-nilly into our part of the moon. Wading across the sea of tranquility, the damn dust-backs...
