Minor frame difference on G19 vs G23 Glocks

After comparing my G19c to a friends G23, I noticed his G23 has a additional circular mark or punch out on the frame of his. The circular mark my G19c has is located just behind the disassembly latch (bottom right corner of the pic below). His G23 has a additional circular mark above the one on my G19c.
Any ideas what these circle thingys are, and why the G23 has two??

Additional structural support (maybe?) for a hotter caliber? I know the rails were extended a little bit for the new .357 Sigs and they carried it over to the 40's.

Are you referring to the trigger pin? That is what I see in the picture that you posted. In .40 cal glocks and above there is an additional smaller diameter pin above and slightly to the right to help reinforce the locking block, otherwise there is just one pin.

Good shooting
