Not sure what you guys think of a man of Islam being sworn in on the Koran. It's kind of double talk if you ask me. In one breath he will swear to uphold the Constitution. In his mind he knows the Koran teaches him it's ok to do so as long as he is actually working to undermine it.

The man is a threat to this country's defense and security. I've already e-mailed my senators about my concern...not that that will do much good, but I did it anyway. This is what I wrote:

I'm really concerned about the newly elected Senator from Minnesota "Keith Ellison". He says he is going to be sworn in next week on the Koran. He says he will swear to uphold the Constitution, with his right hand on the Koran, and then, in another breath, he has said he and his Muslim people are here to teach the US about justice.

Islam is on the move throughout the world and has even come to the surface, with power, in Canada and now our country is going to swear in a man of Islam to our Senate.

This would not have happened in WWII or WWI. Even pre-Civil war times, the Senate shut out those who were Pro South. I think it is at least dangerous to allow a man of Islam to be elected to the Senate. At the most I think he is a threat to the proper defense of this country.

Please be on your guard. He is new but has a great following.
 
Islam is more of a form of government than a religion. They have their own laws. They have their own courts. They have their own class system and method of selecting leaders and judges. And none of it is compatible with the US founding documents.

At best it should be treated as a dangerous cult, at worst it should be treated as a rogue government working to overthrow the Republic. You don't see Buddhists or Baptists setting up their own court system and off-the-book laws like the muslims in England are doing. Coming soon... an infidel will end up accused by one of those liars in one of those sham islamic courts in England and end up being beheaded or having a hand amputated.

Look what's happening in Somalia. The legitimate government is being overthrown and islam installed against the wishes of the majority of the populace. Women are called uncovered meat, radios are outlawed, soccer is the devil, if you don't pray enough times every day you are flogged, etc... Islamic 'police' go around looking for victims that don't follow whatever laws they make up. Policing and law enforcement is a government function, therefore Islam is a form of government.

The Federal govt can't prohibit the free exercise of religion. But it sure can prohibit the exercise of a separatist government, whether the insurrectionists choose to falsely label it a 'religion' or not.
 
They are trying to set up a court in Ontario. You're right. It's not a religion as much as it is a people movement. By that I mean they are growing very fast and their ultimate goal is global domination. Islam is everywhere and it ranges from the Middle East in all directions and is now global. The people invloved in it are loyal to it and only it. Goverrnments that stand it its way will either be assimilated or destroyed...and that goes for people too.

It is not heresay. This has been going on for a long time. People who don't recognize it have ignored Islam and it's role in history...especially recent history.
 
Guys, y'all have been around TFL for awhile now. How many threads have you seen shut down because they veered into the realm of religion? Can't count that high? Neither can I.

Doesn't matter. There are over forty thousand members here at TFL. They come from all over the globe, and they come from all religions (including Islam), and some have no religion at all.

Any way you cut it, when you start debating religion here, any religion, you're going to step on someone's toes in a very personal way.

Closed, before that happens.
