Mini Firestorm 9mm & .40

I was at the NRA's annual convention Friday and handled these. I thought I was looking at a .380 until I noticed it was a .40. They seem like pretty nice little pistols - not quite as light as Kel-Tecs, etc. but very compact and with single-action capability (I don't really like DAO). I did a search and found them mentioned, but not much first hand info. Anyone have experience with them? The compact .40 is tempting.

I had a Mini Firestorm in 45ACP, and I wish I still did. A guy offered me $50 more than I payed for it only 6 months before, so I had to jump on the deal.

It was reliable, mags were fairly easy to come by, and the only complaint I had was that it didn't like the full-size ammo. For some reason, she only liked the 185gr stuff. With 230 loded in it, you needed a prayer to hit a 2' target at 25m.

Nice guns

Well, if you held one, than you are half-way sold already. No, they aren't as small or as light as a Kel-tec, but, they are .40's! And know, they also aren't as small as a Kahr, but they are something like 200 bucks cheaper than a Kahr.
As soon as I get my Tax money back, my wife is allowing me to get a new gun, and a Mini .40 is high on my list of probables. I haven't shot one yet, but at the gun store where I shop, both the owner and his wife carry Mini .40's, so that's all I need to know.

The only minor problems I've seen in mine (Mini 9) are occassional hammer bites and the underside of the slide in the lower rear corner (when retracted or locked back) has some sharp corners.

The Mini 9 and Mini 40 are Bersas. The Mini 45 is a Llama.

The Mini 9 and Mini 40 are Bersas (modified Browning-type). The Mini 45 is a Llama (1911-type).
