I just saw one last week, in my living room. An old Army buddy brought one to my house for deer hunting. I watched him shoot a nice buck with it at about 70 yards. Frontal shot, low neck, then went the length of the buck and exited near the rear. Russian HP. Deer dropped so fast that I suspect he somehow hit the spine.
Rifle itself was a nice compact size. I find those synthetic stocks a bit slippery feeling. And noisy when they push up against sticks and brush in the woods. Finally, I really don't like the Ruger muzzle device. Just a cosmetic thing. If it was my rifle and the primary use was going to be hunting, I would remove it and get a thread protector instead. You would actually end up with a better looking rifle that was a bit shorter to boot.
Getting to hold and shoot one convinced me to put it on my future buy list. Nice rifle, especially for the money.
