A poster on Pistolsmith.com has advised us of failures of two MIM triggers on recently-manufactured S&W revolvers:

Have you had any MIM parts fail?

No.
Interesting tho.

With MIM, the process is good. Sometimes the execution is iffy.
Just like any other metal forming.

High stress concentration in the area depicted. Improper radiusing at that point could easily lead to fracture.

I hope I don't?

Haven't had a problem yet, with either my Smith & Wesson
629-5, 5" Classic .44 magnum; or 686-5, 6" .357 magnum.
