This is a grass-roots effort that just came into being in January of this year to counter the well-funded Million Mom March. Many of the national gun-grabber groups have signed on for their cause. Hillary Clinton is already on board and will be at the march. She must have learned of politial opportunism from 'Slick Willie.'

The SAS needs your support to help counter the million-dollar Million Mom March. We would like to keep this effort as a grass root campaign. We need monetary support, yes, but we really need to have a good showing of real folks in Washington on Mother's Day.
 
There's only one item on their (MMM) agenda I agree with.

There has been a change in the Million Moms' mission statement. They have dropped most of their goals. The only thing they are pushing for at this time is licensing and registration.

We found this out due to an intercept of an MMM e-mail. It seems that one of the founders of the MMM has been 'fired' from her position for being too moderate in her thinking--and she's PI**ED! Now the national group, and the fund raising organization they hired (Bell Foundation) are calling the shots as they want to. The local chapters can't even use any of the monies they raise to promote rallies closer to home. All the money they raise is going to put on the big circus in DC on Mother's Day. There are getting to be quite a few disenfranchised MMMs out there!

I found this "quote" from the Second Amendment Primer, sponsored(?) by the NRA.
I haven't actually done the research to verify the validity of it, but considering the source of that quote, I'll take it for truth.

Also, I think the quote states what is occuring in this country as we speak and breath.
