Militec-1

So far I'm not impressed with it. It still takes the same amount of time to clean my firearms. The directions does say to use three applications. I applied the first coat and went to the range. Now the second coat was just applied to the Kimber. We'll see after Saturday's range session if the stuff works.

don't know what the subject was but militec is not for cleaning it's a metal conditioner. If you took two weapons say auto pistols lubed one with militec and the other with something else shoot 1000 rds. then examine the outer barrel wear the one with militec would have little or none. ;)
quote:
Originally posted by Svt:

I know it's not a cleaner. The advertisement states that it repels powder residue, etc etc making cleaning a lot easier. From the first application and firing, it didn't appear to repel anything.
I'm about to clean my AR after I grab something to eat. That's the one I'm curious to see. My AR's are the reason I bought Militec-1 in the first place.

Militec does make cleaning a bit easier - residue is easier to wipe off. As a lube - its not too bad. About the same as break free I guess.
