military covering up female murders?

Kind of reminds me of the guy on my ship when I was in the Navy (1975 at the time) that committed suicide by stabbing himself in the back 37 times and then climbed up from the 3rd deck to the 1st deck and threw himself overboard.

Murders which occur on military installations seem to get swept under the rug more often than not.

Two specific instances on Fort Carson come to mind. Our last deployment to Iraq (05-06) the pregnant wife of one of the soldiers was murdered at her home on post...other than two very small references to it in Colorado newspapers...it was never heard about again.

And in another case, a former soldiers was found in a drainage pond at the post sewage treatment plant. His body was on the other side of an 8 foot fence. The death was ruled a murder..but I don't believe that it made any papers...and again..it was very hushed up.

Obviously, the military has a reputation to protect..but it all smells shady.
