Has anyone used products from Mil-comm, such as TW25B? I just purchased a Sig P238 and Sig recomends Mil-comm products. They're new to me...

I have used TW-25B on the slide of my Sig pistols in the past. It works well but over time it tends to harden up. Now I use Slide Glide Lite on the rails and the outside of barrel. It works well and doesn't seem to harden. Over time it does seem to disappear. If I haven't shot a pistol in a while I prefer to check the rails to make sure there is enough lubrication still on the rails.

I know of several other Sig owners that use both of these products.

One thing to remember about using TW-25B. Don't use too much. A little goes a long way. When you use too much you will have it flying all over the place when you fire the pistol. A lighter coating on both sides of the surfaces works better the a heavy coating on only one surface.

yeah

SIG started pushing the stuff about 10 years or so ago. It is pricey. I've got to wonder if SIG is scratching another company's back.

It is slick. I like the "grease" aspect of the 25B product. You put in on a spot and it doesn't run off or evaporate. I use it as a lube on most all my firearms now.

I use another product for solvent and cleaning.
