You know a pet peeve of mine is in cold weather (like 30's and 40's) these 50 round plastic ammo boxes just shatter. In many calibers I put my pistol reloads in these things, then put those in GI 50 caliber ammo cans, and through all the bumping and bashing it takes to get to the range, these darn ammo boxes end up with cracked sides and lids.

Does anyone make cold weather ammo boxes?
 
I have had the same experience, cracked boxes. Really did not think about it until I read this thread. Thanks for the link for the life time boxes.."MTM Case-Gard guarantees that their boxes won't crack, chip, peel, warp, expand or contract for 5 years".... Lemmon
