Meuller scopes

Hello y'all. I'm in the market for a scope around the $200 range. And was considering nikon prostaff but keep getting recommended Meuller brand scopes. Was wondering what you guys thought of them? They have good reviews and a lifetime warranty. Four the price they usually come with more options. what's your experience with this optics company?

Any other suggestions for a $200 or less scope?

I have a Mueller Eradicator on my .204. It's by far the best high-power optic I've seen in the price range.

I have only one complaint, and it could be a fluke. Last year, I set my gun case down and my son bumped it, tipping it over. It's not like it fell down a flight of stairs or slid 20 feet across the floor and hit a wall. It tipped over, clunk. Gently enough, and in a padded case, that it didn't concern me at all. Turned out that scope was knocked off by like an 1 1/2" at 100 (IIRC), enough to miss woodchucks at 200 anyway.

That was disappointing, but I've had no other troubles in its several years of service. I've had it probably 7 or 8 years.

Good to know. Could've been the rings?

As for rings im thinking burris signature zee rings. Anybody have any input on that?

I have 3 Mueller scopes all set up in Burris Zee rings, scopes have better glass then those costing twice as much however my gear is target only and I'm easy on equipment, would be easier to give you an answer if I knew what type shooting and caliber.

I have a 8-32 x 44 Mueller. Works great.Tracking is very good and very clear glass. I have another on order for my 308. Best $240.00 i ever spent.

I've heard they're good glass for the money, but they do have limited elevation adjustment- 40 moa total IIRC last time I looked at them which wasn't enough for me.

Just be sure that's enough for whatever application you're using it for.

this scope will most likely be going on a 243. possibly a ruger american (i havent bought the rifle yet). my closest range is only 100 yards so that is what it will mostly be seeing. every once in a while i can make a run to my brother in laws property about 2hrs from here to do a bit longer range shooting.
probably some deer and coyote hunting as well.
was thinking on the 4.5-14x40mm ao tactical model. mostly because its right in the power range i want and its ao with 1/8 moa turrets (as opposed to 1/4 on their other models)

Excellent choice, I have the standard 4-14 in a 10/22 and it is super clear edge to edge, the tactical model should fit you needs.

I've read that on the higher end of the muellers zoom the clarity starts to disappear.
How is it for you all?
also how about vortex crossfire II's?

I have one Mueller scope on a 22 and have no complaints. I have heard of people overtightening their rings and damaging the scopes.

Wow. That pic really just swayed my decision to mueller.
I think ill wind up going for the 4-16x50mm ao with the sport dot reticle. At right around 200 bucks its a steal.

Swayed a different way after reading up on vortex and their customer service vs muellers. Lifetime transferable warranty with no questions asked. And their guys actually post on forums like this to help people out., and their glass seems to be decent for a sub 200 dollar scope. Got the 4-12x50mm ao crossfire II with a set of burris signature zee rings to go on top of a ruger american 243
