Meprolight Verses Heinie SlantPro Straight Eights

I just received my Glock 30 last week. I would like to chage my stock sights for night sights and cannot decide. I am trying to decide between above two choices.

This is not a carry gun and it's primary use will be home defense and range use.

I would like to hear from people that have these sights and get some of your feedback on pros and cons.

I am leaning towards the Heinie, since I think I would prefer a two dot sight. Some have mentioned rust on Heinie so I was thinking of getting it with Black "T" finish. On the other hand I know many like the meps because they are brighter.

Thanks to all that reply.

I don't have either (I have trijicons on my G17), but those Heinie's look pretty cool. If I get another Glock I'd probably get Heinie's.

You might want to ask the glocktalk.com people.

i have meprolights on 2 of my glocks, one of which i use for home defense. the dots glow very brightly and are easy to see in the light also. however this was before i was introduced to Heinie sights. IMHO Heinie sights don't even compare to most other night sights i've tried. i don't have heinie night sights on any guns (just because i don't need night sights on any more of my guns right now) but i do have a set of all black slant pro's on my Glock 24C. the sight picture is extreemly clear and has improved my accuracy a substancial ammount. i too like the 2 dot configuration and from now on any guns that need night sights will get a set of straight eight slant pro's on them.
