Meprolight Installation Question

I recently bought some Meprolight night sights for my HK USP .40 Compact. The instructions say to use Loctite 609 when installing them. However, a local adhesive supplier said that Loctite 609 is like "liquid metal" i.e. once those sights are installed, they are installed for good. I would like the option of removing the sights in the event that the tritium inserts start to fade. Anyone have any suggestions for installation? Should I use loctite 609, or use a different type of adhesive, or no adhesive at all? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Red Loc-Tite is always advised for anything that'll have a tendency to rattle loose, but I haven't had any problems using blue Loc-Tite with my Glocks. Out of my five Glocks, my G30 has had Meps on the longest (approx. 6-8 months), and they're still hanging on tight.

I use red Loctite (271) on the front sight installations for Glocks. Haven't installed Meps on other brands, so can't speak to the 609. I use 640 Loctite on the brake for my AR. It can be removed, but you have to heat it with a torch to break the seal. I also used 640 Loctite under the Mep sight that I staked on to my Gold Cup.

I believe that you'll be o.k. with the 271. I wouldn't recommend the 242, blue, for front sight installation.
