I went to the Memphis Gun Show this morning, Saturday Sept. 29th, and walked around for a couple of hours. I was hoping to sell my Smith Model 29, but had no takers.
Was a good day for Colt and Smith & Wesson Collectors. I noticed about six Colt Pythons, two of which were 4" nickeled, asking price was $1500, but probably could be negotiated. As to the blued guns, I didn't see a price. Also Colt Diamondbacks, two 4" .38 Specials nickeled, $700. There was a blue 4" .38 for $550. All guns looked like new from my casual once-over. One dealer had a case full of Colt and Smith snub nosed .38s, all nickeled; Detective Specials, Diamondbacks, Chief Specials, Military & Police. All had extremely fine wlnut stocks, I did not see pricing on these. Also one 4" nickeled Trooper Mk. III.
In general, pricing that I observed seemed to be right about par, no gouging observed, except for concessions!
